About the job

As a Field Service Engineer, you make sure that our installations at the customer’s site work properly and keep working. Depending on the type of service request, you start with preparatory tasks such as reading and analyzing drawings and documentation. You also review the software, required specifications and background of the reported issues and discuss any assembly problems internally. In consultation with the customer, you investigate the fault and decide whether it can be resolved remotely or requires an on-site visit.

You communicate with the customer and maintenance departments regarding a machine fault or upgrade and ensure a proper handover.
You also check the correct operation of the entire line and carry out the final inspection.
You collect test data, monitor the progress of testing and maintain thorough documentation, including recording your hours.
In collaboration with fellow engineers and managers, you look for the best solutions to technical issues and discuss these with the customer.
In addition to these service tasks, you provide instructions and training to the customer’s staff, such as operators and maintenance technicians.
We prepare you well for this exciting challenge: you will have time to get to know our machines and follow any necessary training. During the initial period in this role, you will work in our Assembly department to gain hands-on knowledge of our technologies.

A salary between €3,980 and €5,300 per month (based on 40 hours). And give you the opportunity to grow in your role. This base monthly salary is complemented by a generous project/overseas allowance. Depending on how often you travel abroad, your salary can sometimes even double.

What you bring

Key qualifications:

With your solid service experience and passion for travel, you work on innovative systems and exciting projects around the world. You are practical and able to work independently, but also collaborate easily with both customer staff and colleagues.

In addition, you bring the following qualities:

A completed degree in Mechanical Engineering at least at MBO level, or an equivalent level gained through work experience.
Knowledge and experience in the fields of electrical engineering and mechanical construction.
Experience with dynamic drive systems and modern (PLC) control technologies. (Knowledge of Rockwell and Beckhoff controls is a plus)
Willingness to travel abroad regularly, sometimes on short notice, for extended periods (2 to 4 weeks) to assemble, commission, and service our installations.
Ability to communicate and report clearly, both orally and in writing, in Dutch and English.
Providing a certificate of good conduct (VOG) may be part of the application process.

Your future team

The team consists of Field Service Engineers, a Team Leader, and the Manager of the Commissioning Engineering & Field Service Engineering department. You will collaborate with the Project Service Engineers from the Customer Service department to exchange information on project planning, results, and changes.

You will also have frequent contact with the Software, Mechanical, and Hardware Engineering departments regarding technical questions, system operation, and any uncertainties.
